Fondazione Pietro Barbaro

Fondazione Pietro Barbaro was established in 2009 by members of a historic Sicilian family operating in the maritime transport sector. It promotes environmentally sustainable commercial procedures and the adoption of new technologies for the improvement of maritime traffic, while also being active in the field of education and training. The Foundation also aims to promote Mediterranean culture and to build an open, inclusive space of aggregation for citizenship through social meetings, artistic residences, networking activities with local schools, universities and non-profit organizations.
